Katherine Rebecca Harmening

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine Rebecca Harmening of Franklin, Indiana, who passed away on March 5, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Katherine farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Katherine is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Carnegie Bailey, Sr. and Blanche Moody Bailey; her husband Richard "Dick" E. Harmening; and her son Scott Bailey Harmening. She is survived by: her brother George Carnegie Bailey (Susan) of Lexington.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Grace United Methodist Church (1300 E Adams Dr, Franklin, IN 46131). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
