Katherine Butler ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Rhodes Funeral Home - Washington Avenue on Mar. 17, 2026.Known as "Kat" or "Twin" entered the world on April 10, 1951 to her late parents Celestine J. Jimmerson and Louis Blane in New Orleans, LA. She was baptized at My Redeemer Missionary Baptist Church under the Pastorship of the late Rev. Samuel Polk and late Rev Eddie L. Branch until she moved her membership to Second True Love Missionary Church under the Pastorship of Rev Lilton McQuarter until her health declined. She was married to Joseph Butler where they later welcomed her mourning daughter, Josephine Butler (Troy). She is also survived by her two granddaughters Tatiyana Butler (Kevin) and Breyana Johnson; two great-grandsons, Kemon and Kyrie Demesme. Last, but not least, her devoted twin sister Kathleen Blane. She was also loved by a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.She built deep roots in the Uptown area of New Orleans. Sadly, she slipped away into eternal rest peacefully on March 3, 2026 at 5:15 am. She will be missed dearly and remembered forever.We may temporarily say goodbye, but her memory will forever remain a blessing to all who know her.Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of My Redeemer MBC, Second True Love and all surrounding churches, also employees of Sewage & Water Board of New Orleans, Harmony Oaks (Magnolia) are also invited to attend a Funeral Service honoring the life of Ms. Katherine "Kat" Butler at D.W.
