The memory of Katherine Axtell Vest of Poquoson, Virginia, born in Sodus, New York, who passed away on March 7, 2026 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Stuart Vest; and her parents, Willis Axtell and Doris Axtell (Stuart Vest). She is survived by: her children, Tad Vest (Kristie), Tim Vest, Stuart Vest (Roswitha), Chris Vest and Teresa Crawford. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM and at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Parklawn Wood Funeral Home (2551 N Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23666).
