Katherine Ann Lord

Katherine Ann Lord, a devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026. Born on June 21, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Kathleen Wrobleski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses, Carol and Bob Salinger, Alex and Vangie Wrobleski, Robert and Shirley Wrobleski, and Richard Wrobleski.

Katherine served proudly in the United States Air Force before beginning a career that spanned more than two decades with the Internal Revenue Service, where she was known for her commitment and perseverance. She was a woman of remarkable warmth and artistic talent, expressing her creative flair through painting, decorating, and flower arranging. She found joy in simple pleasures, including watching old movies, and she held a deep affection for the cats that shared her life.

Katherine is lovingly remembered by her long-time companion, Fred Mason; her daughter, Cynthia Ayo, and son-in-law, Johnny, of Mt. Zion; and her cherished granddaughter, Karina Katherine Ayo. Their lives were enriched by her nurturing spirit and the strength of her devotion. Her legacy continues through her several nieces and nephews.
