Karla Hoagland, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, in Tecumseh, Michigan. Born on November 5, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, to Dr. Thomas V. Hoagland and Aili M. Siltala, she carried a quiet appreciation for the world around her throughout her life.
Karla found simple joy in sitting outside with a cup of coffee, watching birds and taking in the beauty of nature. She possessed a wonderful sense of humor, took great pleasure in genealogy research, and was an avid cross-stitcher whose hands were often busy creating.
She is survived by her daughter, Meliisa Hoagland, and two grandchildren, Brandon and Emaliina, who will miss her dearly.
