July 18, 1951— March 12, 2026
Camdenton, MO
Karen Sue Roussin, age 74, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 18, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri, she moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area around 2000, where she embraced life by the water.
A proud graduate of Afton High School, class of 1969, Karen was known for her sharp sense of humor, her deep love of music, and the genuine joy she found in the company of family and friends. She was a devoted follower of local bands such as South 5 and cherished nights filled with music and laughter. A lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, she created many happy memories attending games with her nephew Jason and close friend Barb. She also took pleasure in simple things—dining at her favorite restaurants, Steak ’n Shake and Outback—and shared a special bond with her beloved dogs, Bailey and Kelly.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl M. Steffen and Edwin L. Roussin, and her sisters, Michele Renee Barmann and Joan Watson. She is survived by her brother, Richard Roussin; her nephew Jason Roussin, whom she loved as a son; her nieces Jamie Riggins and Robyn Duenwald; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Per her wishes, Karen chose to donate her body to science in hopes of helping others. She will be remembered for her laughter, her kind heart, and the warmth she brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
