November 11, 1962— March 4, 2026
North Ogden, UT
Karen Rhonda Willie Worthen passed away peacefully on a gentle spring evening at the age of 63, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 11, 1962, at 11 a.m. to Rand and Anna Rose Stoll Willie of North Ogden, Karen faced many challenges from a young age. Despite the difficulties, she pursued her education, held onto personal hopes and dreams, and found deep fulfillment in motherhood. Being called mom and grandma remained her greatest joys and proudest accomplishments.
She graduated from Weber High School and Cosmetology School. She married Wes Worthen in a carefully planned fairytale wedding, though they later divorced. Karen cherished 90s country music, dancing, and time spent with her family. Known for her deep capacity to love and her quick wit, she resided for many years at Hidden Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care.
Karen’s light continues through her daughters, Shonnie (Kevin) Sessions and Bailee (Justin) Cevering; her grandchildren, Jake, Mialee, and Kendyl Sessions, and Austin Cevering; and five additional grandsons, Caden, Cole, Jarrett, Jackson, and Kamden, who were blessed to her by her son Tyler (Tara) Worthen. She is also survived by her brother Ron (Anna) Willie; sisters Roxan Ellsworth, Mary (Dave) Rice, and Sandy (Steve) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Tyler James Worthen, her parents, and two brothers-in-law, Steven Ellsworth and Mark Wilcock. The family finds comfort knowing she is now reunited with those who went before her.
