Mansfield, OH
Karen Sue Patterson, 57, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away on March 12, 2026, after a battle with cancer.
Born on June 20, 1968, in Mansfield to John and June (Raney) Patterson, Karen graduated from Northmor High School and dedicated more than 40 years of faithful service to MT Business/Xerox. She was a longtime attendee of Palmyra Church of Christ, where she drew strength from her faith and the fellowship of her church family.
Karen found her greatest joy in life’s simple pleasures and in the company of those she loved. She cherished collecting stuffed animals, keychains, and matching teddy bears from the states she visited, tokens of her deep love for travel—especially the treasured family trips to Myrtle Beach. In quieter times, she enjoyed reading, working on puzzles, and playing cards. Though she never had children of her own, she held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, sharing a close and loving bond with them and treasuring every moment spent together.
She is survived by her mother, June Patterson; siblings Dean (Lori) Patterson, Diane Murray, Keith Patterson, and Brenda (Keith) Smith; nieces and nephews Brandon (Ashley) Patterson, Allen (Sarah) Patterson, Erika (Ethan) Begle, Emily (Zak) Smith, Justin Murray, Brandon (Mallory) Neyman, Karalee (Bryant) Hodge, Kameron (Rachel) Smith, and Kolton Smith; eleven great-nieces and nephews; and many extended family members. Karen was preceded in death by her father, John Patterson, and her grandparents.
