Karen Owens

Karen Owens, 69, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at home. Born on January 25, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (West) Owens.

Karen was a 1975 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School in Camp Hill and remained rooted in South Central Pennsylvania throughout her life. She built her career as an insurance agent with Fetrow Insurance in Camp Hill, and beyond that, took on part-time work at several local retailers.

She was independent yet sociable and thoroughly enjoyed the company of others. Karen was fun-loving and loud, and for years, she was a regular at the Gingerbread Man in Mechanicsburg. A day spent shopping or having lunch with friends and family was what brought her pleasure, and she injected energy and spontaneity into every situation. She also had a knack for keeping those around her on their toes! Deep down, Karen had a wonderful heart, and her fun and spontaneous personality will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving Karen is her brother, Robert "Bob" Owens (wife, Deanna) of Camp Hill; nephew, Nicholas Owens of New Cumberland; and a cousin, Rick Owens, of North Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Owens.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Her final resting place will be Mechanicsburg Cemetery, alongside her mother.
