She was the wife of George F. Herring. They celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in October 2025. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Faye A. (Appel) Dannenhower of Allentown and Barry L. Dannenhower of Elizabethtown. She is also the stepdaughter of Candy Dannenhower of Elizabethtown. Karen Lynn was a graduate of Dieruff High School, class of 2000. She was active with the Dravet Syndrome Group on FaceBook. Karen Lynn enjoyed photography, bowling, camping and amusement parks, especially roller coasters.
