She is survived by: her husband Dr. Charles Burton, Sr.; her son Charles Burton, Jr. (Javaite); her brothers, George Higgins, Jr., James R. Higgins, Garland Higgins and Joseph Higgins; and her grandson Charles Burton, III.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the A. D. Porter and Sons Funeral Home - Downtown (1300 W Chestnut St, Louisville, KY 40203). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the West Chestnut St Baptist Church (1725 W Chestnut St, Louisville, KY 40203).
