Karen Kowalski, age 57, a resident of Fergus Falls, MN, formerly of Pelican Rapids, died on February 28, 2026, at Lakes Home, Fergus Falls, MN.
Karen Karleen Kowalski, affectionately known as KK, was born to Louis and Norma Kowalski on November 1, 1968. She was confirmed at St. Leonard Catholic Church in Pelican Rapids, MN. She attended Viking Elementary School in Pelican Rapids, MN and graduated from Fergus Falls High School. After graduating she worked at Productive Alternatives for many years.
Karen became a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church when she lived in Fergus Falls. She loved Jesus and spending time with her church family. Karen enjoyed spending time with friends at Camp Friendship in the summer. She loved to dance, enjoyed watching Dukes of Hazard (YEEHAW!!) and Little House on the Prairie.
She is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Norma Kowalski, older brother Michael Kowalski, and nephew Mathew Kowalski.
Karen is survived by her siblings: Cheryl (John) Ross, Gary (Trudy) Kowalski, Tim (Melissa) Kowalski, Kevin (Dina) Kowalski, and many nieces and nephews.
Karen was under the care of Lakes Home and Program for the last few years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Lakes Home and Program for their compassionate care and support.

Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. with funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at St. Leonard Catholic Church, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota.
Burial will be at St. Leonard Cemetery, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota
