November 13, 1946— March 16, 2026
Beckley, WV
Loving wife, mother, and friend, Karen Bozarth of Beckley, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on 3/16/2026 and made her final witness and statement to the world. John 3:16- For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. You see, my mom, loved her family but her greatest love was the Lord. She loved spending time with her church family and very much looked forward to time with her Son Shine sisters. She also loved to play the organ and piano for her church. She loved her family, her husband of almost 60 years, William Bozarth and her daughter, Kristen. She loved to camp at Chincoteague Island, Virginia with her husband and loved to sight see even if it was sights that she had seen multiple times before. She approached each day as if it were brand new day with excitement for what was in store. She loved to travel, loved animals and loved to be part of the community. She held a master's degree and retired from the Raleigh Country Board of Education where she was the accountant for Woodrow Wilson High School. She was selfless and always made sure that others were taken care of before herself. Even at the time of her passing, she requested that her cardiac pacemaker be donated to help a dog who might need it and that her body be donated so that "maybe someone can learn something and help someone else."
She was preceded in death by her father William Loving Sr. and her mother Ruth E. Lowe. Those left to carry on her memory are her husband William Bozarth, daughter Kristen Bozarth, her brother William Loving Jr. as well as multiple dear friends. We want to thank those who supported our family throughout her life and her last days.
Per her wishes, a memorial service with visitation prior will take place on Wednesday, 3/18/2026 at Jones Memorial Baptist Church, 401 Allen Avenue, Beckley WV with family visitation from 3:00pm-4:00pm, friend visitation from 4:00pm-5:00pm and the memorial service starting at 5:00pm.
