Karen Beck-Lyner ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Greene Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel on Mar. 17, 2026.Karen Beth Beck-Lyner, 61, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.Karen was born on March 31, 1964, to the late Major H. Beck and Beatrice W. Beck, at York General Hospital. She was a graduate of Rock Hill High School Class of 1984 and went on to achieve her associates degree from York Technical College. In her work life, she retired from Indian Health Services in administration and worked part-time at the Lancaster Speedway for over 23 years. In her personal life, Karen was an active member of Catawba Indian Nation and the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS Catawba Ward. She loved playing piano in church and also enjoyed playing softball and basketball. In her free time, Karen loved shopping and always finding a good bargain. However, she especially enjoyed spending time with her family and will be dearly missed by them.She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, James Edward Lyner Jr.; her son, Jacob Davis (Madison) of Sylacauga, AL; her daughter, Hannah Osborne (Jaimie) of Oxford, AL; two special grandsons, Bentley and Heath; her special bonus daughter, Mikkayla Leach; her siblings, Diane Beck and Don Beck (Emily) of Rock Hill, SC, and John Beck (Gwen) of South Jordan, Utah; and several wonderful nieces and nephews.Karen is preceded in death by her late parents; and her nephew, Alex Beck.The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 7:30pm on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS Catawba Ward, 1989 Reservation Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
