March 3, 1966— March 7, 2026
North Tonawanda, NY
Karen Ann Misiak (née Kozak), affectionately known as Mom, Krazy Karen, and Nana, passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 60. A larger-than-life presence, she was the most loving, caring, and giving person, stronger than anyone and fully herself even in her final days. She died peacefully in her bed on the Gulf of America, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and closest family, displaying remarkable strength until the end.
Born on March 3, 1966, Karen had a deep love for travel and cherished her time with horses. She found great joy in laughing with family and friends. A driven entrepreneur, she founded and operated several successful businesses, including More Wireless, WNY Rapid Testing, and most recently Rapid Junk Removal, which continues to reflect her hard work, passion, and legacy.
She is survived by her devoted parents, Donald and Marina Kozak; her loving sons, Matthew (Kristen) Misiak and Zachary (Gabrielle) Misiak; her cherished grandchildren, Penelope and Matthew Misiak; her siblings, Donald (Isabel) Kozak, Joseph (Annette) Kozak, and Kathleen (Peter) Baich; and many nieces and nephews. Karen also held a special place in her heart for her dogs, Dwayne and Petey.
