Born in Gwynedd, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John Harris Spragins and the late Marion Hurley Spragins. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to the Robert K. Loster. She was the loving mother of Elizabeth Marie Loster Brown (husband Joseph H. Brown Jr.) and predeceased by a son who passed away at birth. She was the sister of the late Marion Ann Neubert (husband Warren E. Neubert) and grandmother of Jackie (Dylan) Arblaster, Amanda (Anthony) Vickery, Joe (Abby) Brown, Matthew (Lindsay) Brown, Samantha (Jason) Brown, Casey Brown and Jake Brown.Also surviving are her 10 great grandchildren, Gabbie and Osiris Arblaster, Connor, Anna, Aurora and Amelia Vickery and Alanna, Delilah and Lilly Brown and Jason Kress. Predeceased by her 3 canine loves, Koko 1, Koko 2 and Koko 3.Karen graduated high school at Gwynedd Mercy College Class of 1962. She worked for over 15 years as a veterinarian technician at Gwynedd Veterinary Hospital which she earned her certifications and cared for many many dogs. She went on to associate herself with the Bucks County SPCA in which she took in over 50 elderly dogs to provide them a warm safe loving place to finish out their lives.Karen also taught evening dog obedience classed out of Hatboro Horsham High School for over 20 years. She was active with the American Kennel Club with her German Shepherds. Both showing her dogs as CC well as going into be judges at dog shows.Karen slowed down and became a crossing guard for Warminster Police Department, a lunch lady at Log College Middle School and front desk worker for the Warminster Police Station. She was known for biking all around her neighborhood and being out in her gardens all spring and summer.A special thank you to Interim Hospice especially Jordyn, Heather, Jessica, Becky and Michelle who treated Karen like she was their own mother. We never could have gotten through this without them.In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Bucks County SPCA in Karen's memory.Funeral Service will be held at a later date.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
