Kane Brett Putt

Kane Brett Putt

November 7, 1968 January 29, 2026

Cambridge, NZ

Kane B. Putt, age 57, of Cambridge, New Zealand, passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2026, in Riverside, California. He was the beloved son of Neville J. and Diane K. Putt.

In 1984, the family moved to Western Samoa and began a new adventure that created friendships still cherished around the world today. While his parents were in the Middle East, Kane and his brother continued their education and travel with their own journeys to Greece, Egypt, and France. He lived a full and hardworking life, marked by dedication, skill, and a remarkable ability to fix whatever he touched. Kane attended weekend classes in some of Los Angeles’ finest restaurants with notable chefs to master his cooking skills. His cheeky smile and quick humor opened doors during travels with his parents, siblings, and family, leading them to breathtaking sunsets, ziplines, and water views.

Kane’s natural talent for repairing and building things was evident from a young age while working alongside his father Neville, yet his true passion lay in planning and mechanics. He was known for his meticulous attention to detail, strong work ethic, and commitment to completing every job with precision. Kane loved all animals and adopted cats from local shelters throughout his adult life. He was generous with his time, always ready to help those less fortunate. He enjoyed surfing, skiing, fishing, and eventually golf—though he often debated whether it took too long to finish 18 holes. He was a constant source of jokes, stories, and travel arrangements for his nieces and nephews.

Kane will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, son, friends, co-workers, and his latest adopted furry friend Pepper.
