Junior F. Dillon

1944 — 2026

Indianapolis, IN

Junior F. Dillon, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 11, 2026. Born on November 25, 1944, in Celina, Tennessee, to Andrew B. and Lola Dillon, he spent most of his working life as a machinist. He worked at Induswheel from 1968 to 1992 and later at Diamond Chain until his retirement in 2010. Known for his strong work ethic, Junior was dependable and steady, the kind of person colleagues could always count on to show up and do the job right.

Outside of work, he found his greatest joy in the quiet life he shared with his wife, Marcella. The two enjoyed their time together at home and at the VFW, and those who knew them recognized the deep bond they shared. Junior also loved sports, particularly basketball, which he had played in his younger years. Above all, he cherished time with his family and the simple routines of everyday life.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Dillon (Jenny); grandchildren Cassi Dillon, Christopher Nichols, and Daniel Nichols; his brother Clark Dillon; and his sisters Sammy Chittwood and Viola Dillon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella Dillon; his parents, Andrew B. and Lola Dillon; his granddaughter Becky Dillon; his brothers John, Jube, and Winton Dillon; Jeff Kidwell; and his sisters Lucy Hammock and Nell Key.
