June Tebbutt, 84, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on March 7, 2026, at her home at Brewster Place.
Born on June 11, 1941, in Peabody, Kansas, to James and Neola (Langvardt) Hannay, June graduated from Topeka High School and attended Washburn University. She enjoyed long careers with Menninger’s and Kansas Gas Service before devoting many hours to volunteering at the gift shop at Stormont Vail Hospital and at McEachron Elementary School.
On July 1, 1960, June married Harold Tebbutt at Lowman United Methodist Church in Topeka. They shared 57 years of marriage before Harold’s passing on July 17, 2017. Their union was blessed with three daughters.
June was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and Lowman United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Amy (Curt) Skoog, Jennifer (Don) Downer, and Becky Tebbutt (John Berberich); four grandchildren, Allison (August) Sukolics, Reed (Sarah) Skoog, Will (Jackie) Skoog, and Drew Tebbutt-Berberich; five great-grandchildren, Piper, Ada, Townes, Maren, and Gillian Sukolics; and four bonus grandchildren, Matthew Blum, Elena (Peter) Blum, Clare Crockett, and Evan Crockett. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Sherry Hannay. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Richard Hannay, James (Frances) Hannay III, and Carol (Lee) Schnacker.
June found her greatest joy in time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and bonus grandchildren. Her caring nature and warm smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
