June Marie Swenson

June Marie Swenson of Franklin passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on June 26, 1934, in Mena, Arkansas, June brought a zest for life that remained with her throughout her years. She married John E. Swenson in August of 1951, and together they raised seven children in their Franklin home.

June found great joy in the friendships she formed through the American Legion Auxiliary, the Franklin Seniors, and her beloved Sts. Peter and Paul Polish National Catholic Church. She took pleasure in reading, dancing, ceramics, floral arranging, and especially in lively games of Sheepshead.

She leaves behind a vibrant legacy through her loving family. June is survived by her children, John, Michael (Grace), Dale (Cathy), Kathleen, Lawrence (Susan), Therese, and Christopher; her siblings, Phil (Kathy), Anita (Tom), Rebecca, and Cheryl (Steve); her grandchildren, Steven, Patrick, Michael (Eve), Janette (Joseph), Shana, Nicole, Marty, David, Jessica, Jeremy (Karyn), Eric, and Sara; along with 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her spirit.

Though her passing brings sorrow, June is now reunited with her beloved husband, John, her sister Dawn, and her sister Sharon. Her life was a testament to the beauty of family, friendships, and a passion for living fully, and her vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
