June M. Cantrell

June M. Cantrell passed away on March 11, 2026 at the age of 90. Born in Harahan, Louisiana, to the late Fredrick Montaldo and the late Anne Parfait, she grew up surrounded by family in the place she always called home.

She was the beloved wife of Melvin J. Cantrell for 29 years and the devoted mother of Brenda Leggins (Melvin), Paul Beebe (Janice), John Beebe, Linda Cumvaa (Thomas), Barbara Beebe, and the late Paulina Beebe. June is also survived by her brother, Fredrick Montaldo, 20 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Montaldo, Anna May Ryan, and Lois Beebe.

Those who knew June will remember her quiet strength, her deep love for her family, and the steady presence she offered throughout her long life. She leaves behind a large and loving family who will carry her memory in their hearts.
