Bloomfield Hills, MI

Julie Csernits, a devoted mother, sister, and friend, passed away in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan on March 9, 2026 at the age of 59.

Born on July 4, 1966 in Quantico, Virginia to Stanley and Ellen Pasieka, Julie entered the world with a bright, feisty spirit and a remarkable drive that defined her life. She grew up in Beverly Hills, Michigan, graduated from Groves High School in 1983, and went on to earn a B.S. from Michigan State University’s James Madison College. While at MSU, she was an active member of Delta Gamma sorority, maintaining close friendships with her sorority sisters for more than four decades. She later earned an MBA from Walsh College.

Professionally, Julie worked at National Bank of Detroit and most recently served as Vice President at JP Morgan Chase. Family remained the heart of her world. She was the proud mother of Maxwell Jacob Barry, her greatest joy and constant source of pride. She stood by him through every stage of life, encouraging him to always be his best. Julie was an avid reader, a Master Gardener, and a passionate traveler who cherished worldly experiences with those she loved. She held Elk Rapids, Michigan dear as her second home, where she spent many happy years on the shores of Lake Michigan surrounded by family and friends.

Julie is survived by her son, Maxwell Barry, her sister Susan Pasieka (Christopher) Zayac, and her parents, Stanley and Ellen Pasieka. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Csernits.
