Julie Ann Scrivner, 64, of Indianola, Iowa, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026.
Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and raised in Audubon, Iowa, Julie graduated from Audubon High School in 1979 and later earned a degree from AIB College of Business in 1988. She began her career at Principal Financial Group before opening her own business, Jewells Professional Services, where she combined her skills as a seamstress and financial bookkeeper. With a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to help others, she faithfully served her clients and friends for many years.
Her greatest joy was her family. Julie cherished camping at Cutty’s Resort with her grandchildren and great-grandchild, creating lasting memories around the campground and enjoying the outdoors together. She also treasured traveling with the love of her life, her husband Gary. A woman of deep faith, she remained actively involved in her church and its activities throughout her life.
Julie is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Chris) Darr; grandchildren, Hailey Darr and Maci Darr; great-granddaughter, Ava Lewiston; mother, Shirley Smith; stepmother, Norma Burger; siblings, Jeanie (Danny) Foster, Shelly Fulton, Shelia (Corey) Null, and Terril (Mary) Burger; six step-siblings; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Scrivner; her father, Terrill Burger; and her stepfather, Levern Smith.
Julie will be remembered for her strong faith, caring heart, and the deep love she held for her family. Her greatest happiness came from time spent with those she loved most, and her legacy will live on through the generations she adored.
