November 21, 1963— March 11, 2026
Battle Lake, MN
Julie Anderson, born Julie Fenske on November 21, 1963, in Paynesville, Minnesota, to Herb and Carol Fenske, lived a life centered on family, joy, and the people she loved. She graduated early from Paynesville High School and studied Fashion Merchandising at Alexandria Vo-Tech, where she met her husband, Bob Anderson. They married on April 27, 1985, and shared 41 years of laughter, adventure, and deep companionship.
Julie worked in clothing retail before building a career in marketing, first with Carlson Companies and later with Optum Health, where she formed many lasting friendships. She and Bob raised their daughters, Trisha and Danielle, in Otsego for 30 years, where Julie was a devoted and enthusiastic mother. She served as a Girl Scout leader, attended every tennis match, dance competition, gymnastics event, and soccer game, and was known for her loud, proud cheering from the sidelines.
In 2017, Julie and Bob realized their dream of owning a home on West Battle Lake. They moved there permanently in 2021, embracing lake life with pontoon cruises, sunset watching, brewery visits, golf outings, and time spent with family and friends. Julie cherished trips to Maui and Walt Disney World, scrapbooking weekends with friends, card games, and caring for their beloved dogs—Beagles Brandi and Abbey, and Yorkie Pickles.
Above all, Julie found her greatest joy in her four grandchildren—Layne, Lennox, and Lucy Stich, and Crew Koeppe—with twin grandchildren expected in May 2026. She poured her love into every moment with them, reading, playing, hugging, and simply being present. Her warmth, determination, and ability to make everyone feel welcome left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Julie passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband Bob, daughters Trisha (Bennet Stich) and Danielle (Austin Koeppe), her mother Carol Fenske, brothers Randy, Steve, and Brian Fenske, sister Susie Denn, and her cherished grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Herb Fenske, grandparents Art and Hertha Fenske, and father-in-law Jack Rehkamp.
