Julian was born on November 4, 1950 in St. Martin, French West Indies.. Moving to New London, Connecticut at the age of ten, he attended public schools and graduated from New London High School in 1970. He was a member of the high school's baseball and football teams, including the undefeated football team of 1969. After attending Winsted Community College, he joined the Navy where he served for four years. He traveled to Italy, France and other countries in Europe and several ports in the US.Julian settled in Madison, Ohio where he was a beloved member of their community. His ability to fix almost anything was his talent and he became the local handyman for many. He enjoyed walks by the lake, bird watching and his koi fish pond in the backyard.Julian is survived by his three children, Michael Leverett of Chicago, Michelle (Chris) Corey of North Carolina and Julian (Holly) Leverett, Jr. of Ashtabula, Ohio. With a blended family he also leaves nine grandchildren, Jocelyn, Michael, Thomas, Emma, Angelina, Makenzie, Brooklyn, Harrison, and Waylon; two stepchildren Jake (Nicole) Holland and Dana (Adam) Paredes. He is also survived by his father Earl Leverett of Waterford, Connecticut and sister Brenda (Stanley) White along with his niece Marissa and nephews Michael and Aaron of New Haven, Connecticut..
