Julia Ann Huffine, affectionately known as Julie or Foxy, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, just days after her 83rd birthday. Born on March 10, 1943, in Wilmington, Delaware, she lived for 45 years in Russellville, Arkansas, where she became a beloved pillar of her community. With a loving and thoughtful nature, Julia touched countless lives through her compassion and willingness to help others.
She led an adventurous life filled with varied experiences and places she called home, including Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. Her work ranged from driving school buses and trucks to owning a restaurant and serving as a caregiver. Julia found joy in crocheting and quilting, and she served as a driver for Disabled Veterans, earning the DAV Driver of the Year award in 2013. An active member of the Red Hats Society, she lived fully and generously, always ready to lend a hand.
Her deepest devotion was to her family, her faith, and her community. A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Julia drew strength from the scriptures, particularly Moroni 7:45 from the Book of Mormon, which reflected her own enduring charity, kindness, and selflessness.
She is survived by her children Connie Cobo, Jack Huffine, Patrick Huffine, and Cheryl Wood; grandchildren Tiffany, Kyle and Andrew Wood, Amanda Hodges, Audra Wall, Max Huffine, Carly Huffine, Zachary and Justin Huffine; great-grandchildren Sylvia and Barbara Wood, and Wyatt Hodges; and siblings Charolette Jerin, Andrea Fox, Margaret Krogstad, and James Fox. She was preceded in death by her husband Jackie Lee Huffine, parents Andrew John and Regina Fox, sister Helen Chambers, and brother Andrew John Fox.
