Julia A. Swearingin

July 20, 1950 March 11, 2026

Marysville, OH

Julia A. Swearingin, 75, of Marysville, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, at Monarch Skilled Nursing & Rehab with her devoted daughter by her side.

Born on July 20, 1950, in Seldovia, Alaska, to James D. and Mary L. (Moore) Swearingin, Julia was the youngest of four children. As a military brat, she lived in several locations during her childhood and graduated from Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan. Deeply spiritual, she possessed a remarkable ability to see and help others. A caregiver at heart, she devoted her career to providing care for special-needs adults and children, viewing her work not as a job but as a calling. She gave of herself freely, living as a present, selfless woman full of love and life.

Julia cherished the outdoors, thriving among trees, flowers, and open skies while observing animals and butterflies. She enjoyed listening to music and watching documentaries, westerns, and biblical movies. To her family, she embodied the perfect blend of June Cleaver and Mother Teresa. She was “mom” to everyone who entered her home, a devoted mother and grandmother whose family meant everything to her—especially her grandsons, Keegan and Henry, who were her entire world.

She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Kelly Allen of Marysville; her beloved grandchildren, Keegan and Henry Allen; her brother, Jim “Dan” (Michelle) Swearingin; several nieces and nephews to whom she was very close; and other extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Rocky Swearingin, and a sister, Tracy Rossi.
