March 30, 1950— March 13, 2026
Beacon, NY
Judyth A. Abbagliato of Beacon entered into rest on March 13, 2026, at the age of 75, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 30, 1950, in Bremen, Germany, to Ben Kalous and Helen Wilkins, Judyth began her working life in nursing before devoting thirty years to the Beacon City School District in a security role. Students affectionately nicknamed her the “Silver Fox,” and she was deeply respected and remembered by generations of students and staff for the kindness and presence she brought to the district each day.
A woman of strong faith, Judyth was an active member of the Fishkill Church of the Nazarene, where she faithfully attended Bible study and services. She also volunteered with the “Taking it to the Streets” ministry, reaching out to her community with compassion and the Gospel.
Above all, she was a devoted mother to her three daughters and a cherished grandmother to her four grandchildren. She found her greatest joy in simple moments spent with family—playing cards, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, and creating lasting memories. She leaves behind her daughters, Dawn Anemelos and her husband Niko, Laura Abbagliato, and Crissy Abbagliato; her brother Harry Kalous and his wife Heidi; and her grandchildren Andrew, Tyler, Ayden, and Sofia. Her warm presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.
