October 11, 1931— March 15, 2026
Whiteville, TN
Juan “Judy” Wilson, age 94, passed peacefully on March 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on October 11, 1931, to Gus and Mary Weatherington Smith, Judy spent much of her life in Hardeman County and the surrounding areas of Tennessee. She first married Ray Tenry and raised her family in Morris Chapel. In 1980, she married William Jerry Wilson, and together they built a home and life in Whiteville that would last more than 45 years.
Judy worked for over twenty years with the Production Credit Association in Savannah, where she was known for her dedication and the genuine care she showed to others. An active member of Whiteville United Methodist Church, she found deep fulfillment in service, faith, and community. Those who knew her remember a woman of quiet confidence and natural elegance who drew people close with her warmth and love of life. She took great joy in gardening, sewing, traveling, watching sports, and most of all, gathering her family and friends in a home filled with laughter and lasting memories.
She is survived by her husband, William Jerry Wilson of Whiteville; her children, Jerry Tenry (Kenda) of Hohenwald and Cheryl McKnight (Joey) of Savannah; and her bonus children, Patricia Spicer of Somerville, Sarah Fowler (Dan) of Knoxville, and Becky Nelson (Jay) of Salem, Arkansas. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Brian Tenry, Heather Leber, Bradley Tenry, Julie Binnion, and Katie Tenry, as well as her bonus grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Tenry; her parents, Gus and Mary Smith; her bonus son-in-law, Billy Joe Spicer; and two bonus grandchildren, Jerrie Taylor and Jamie Nelson.
