Judy Rustin Anderson

CLAXTON: Judy Rustin Anderson, 73, passed away March 6, 2026 at Brown’s Health and Rehabilitation in Statesboro, Georgia. She was a beloved mother and grandmother who was a native of Evans County and a member of Hagan Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and babysat numerous children over the years, who was affectionately known as “Mama Judy.”

She is preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Anderson; parents, John H. Rustin, and Mary Lee Stanfield Rustin; sisters, Patsy Rustin, and Glenda Rustin; brothers, John H. Rustin, Jr., and Jerry Rustin.

SURVIVORS: her daughter, Penny and Albert Rushing; grandchildren, Nola Rushing, Gracie Rushing and Conway Rushing; great-grandchild, Layne Pitts; brother, Randy and Laura Rustin; several nieces and nephews

VISITATION: Monday, March 16, 2026, 10:00 A.M. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: Monday, March 16, 2026, 11:00 A.M. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.

BURIAL: Brewton Cemetery.
