Judy Oliver passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026. Born on December 1, 1943, in Marshall, Texas, she lived there until her family moved to Longview in 1959. She graduated from Longview High School and attended East Texas Baptist University.
A woman of deep faith, Judy devoted herself to her family, friends, and community. She spent most of her career in banking, working at Town North Bank before joining Community Bank in 1984, where she remained until her retirement in 2014. She was known for her caring nature and the genuine concern she showed for her customers and everyone around her.
Judy was a longtime member of Greggton United Methodist Church, where she actively participated in her Sunday school class and the Women’s Prayer Group. Her quiet strength, hospitality, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Judge Finklea Sr. and Frances Finklea. Judy is survived by her daughters, Jackie Kureska of Summerville, South Carolina, Julie Weeks and son-in-law Todd Weeks of White Oak, Texas, and Janet Oliver of Longview, Texas; her grandchildren Reid Weeks, Conner Weeks, Kyla and Brandon Cook, Macy Weeks, Katelyn Kureska, Austin Ferguson, and Payton and Trenton Vaughn, along with numerous great-grandchildren; her brother Judge Finklea Jr. and Mindy, sisters Genelle Wooten and Dave, and Jan Blow and Craig; and several nieces and nephews.
