Judy Mae Forsyth Lopossay

Judy Mae Forsyth Lopossay, 80, of Durham, North Carolina, passed away on March 11, 2026. Born on January 6, 1946, in Durham to Ella Carrington and Logan Forsyth, she dedicated 40 years of her working life to WestPoint Stevens Pepperell before retiring. Above all, Judy cherished her family and was known for her strength, kindness, and the deep love she gave to everyone around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Lopossay; her parents, Ella Carrington and Logan Forsyth; and her brothers, Carlton Forsyth and Logan Forsyth Jr.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Sherry Mann, Melissa Lopossay, Monica Warner, and Felicia Broschinski; her sons-in-law, Darin Mann, Karl Broschinski, and Derek Warner; her grandchildren, Joshua Shipman, Morgan Mann, Jordan Shipman, Emma Mann, Mia Steed Dotson, Noah Shipman, Peyton Woods, Ella Broschinski, Alma Warner, Baxter Warner, and Aubrey Broschinski; her grandson-in-law, Alijah Dotson; and her great-granddaughter, Isabella Shipman. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion and countless cherished memories that will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
