Judy Mabry
October 1, 1959— March 4, 2026
Lubbock, TX
Judy Mabry, 66, of Lubbock, passed away on March 4, 2026, at her home. Born on October 1, 1959, in Littlefield, Texas, to Frances Mae (Jordan) Tinker and J. D. Tinker, she was the middle of three children and grew up in Slaton. She graduated from Slaton High School in 1978. As a teenager, Judy began working at the Korral Drive-In in Slaton for her future in-laws, later holding positions in local restaurants and with Albertsons. In her later years, she found great joy in caring for her grandchildren.
Judy had a vibrant spirit and many passions. She loved to swim, listen to music, bowl, play pool, board games, and dominoes. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, remaining actively involved in their lives and activities. She enjoyed traveling to visit family in East Texas, playing games on her phone, and always kept a cold Pepsi close at hand. She and her husband, Russell Mabry, whom she first met as a child and married in Lubbock, shared nearly forty wonderful years together. They delighted in watching movies, both in theaters and at home, and regularly bowled together at the historic Lubbock Bowl and later at Whitewood Lanes.
Judy is survived by her husband, Russell; her son, Ehric Martin; her daughter, Sarah Mabry; and her beloved grandchildren, Ian Martin, Ava Martin, Xzander Gonzales, and Zalayah Burke. She is also survived by her sister, Debra Green; her brother, Ronny Tinker; and her nephews and nieces, Trey Green, Bryce Green, Tiffany B. Tinker, Alyson Tinker, and Kaylee Schroeder, along with many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her nephews Brandon Green and Kevin Middleton, and her niece Krystal Anne Tinker.
