Judy Ellen Hensley

Judy Ellen (Henton) Hensley, 79, of Penn Laird, passed away March 13, 2026 at her home. Born September 11, 1946 in Harrisonburg, she was the daughter of the late Mary E. Henton. Judy grew up in Elkton and remained a longtime, faithful member of the Full Gospel Lighthouse Tabernacle.

On June 6, 1994, she married Teddy Roosevelt Hensley, Jr., who preceded her in death on January 14, 2019. In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers Donnie, Tommy, and Bobby Henton, and her sister Toni Sanders.

Judy managed the Taco John’s in the Valley Mall during the 1980s and later worked for Arlington County Schools. She and her husband owned and operated the Elkton Florist before retiring. She is survived by her son, Shane Scott and his wife Jessica; step-sons Michael E. Hensley and wife Kim, and Gerald R. Hensley; step-daughter Vonnie Smiley; sister Connie Fadley; sister-in-law Joan Henton; special granddaughter Maddy Scott; grandchildren Trinity, Trenton, and Tucker Scott; five step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
