Judy Ellen (Tabor) Coffey, a cherished daughter of Seymour, Indiana, and a beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at the Saint Elizabeth Hospice Unit in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born on April 17, 1952, Judy's life was marked by unwavering dedication, warmth, and a kindness that touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.Judy's professional journey as a dietician reflected her compassionate nature and commitment to bettering the lives of others. With a career devoted to health and wellness, she made a lasting impact on countless individuals through her expertise and heartfelt care. Beyond her vocation, Judy was known for her friendly and outgoing personality. She had an innate love for people and an ease in conversation that made every encounter special. Her consistency was a cornerstone of her character-a disciplined spirit almost to a fault-and she maintained a home that was always clean, organized, and welcoming.A faithful soul, Judy attended Bethel Apostolic Church and held a deep connection to The Tabernacle at Sandy Creek in Seymour, Indiana, where she shared 47 years of fellowship. Her spirituality was a guiding light throughout her life, providing strength and comfort to those around her.Among her treasured joys was traveling. She delighted in exploring new places, with Pigeon Forge and Branson standing out as favorite destinations. However, it was family, especially the warmth and togetherness of Christmas, that brought Judy the greatest happiness. Those moments when all could gather and celebrate were held dear to her heart.Judy's enduring love and devotion were beautifully reflected in her family. She is lovingly remembered by her beloved husband of 50 years, Junior Coffey of Milan, Indiana; her son, Lorne Coffey of Greer, South Carolina; and her daughter, Kolleena Moore, along with her husband Bobby of Mooreshill, Indiana. She also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Credence Coffey, Kaidy Moore, and Davvyni Moore, who brought immense joy and pride to her life.She joins in eternal rest her mother, Ernestine Wilson Lambert, her brothers Dale Tabor and Larry Tabor, and her grandson Quincey Coffey-souls whose memories live on in the hearts of those who loved them.The family will receive friends on March 20, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Christensen Family Funeral Home, located at 311 Holiday Square Road in Seymour, Indiana. Following this, a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the same location, offering all who knew her an opportunity to pay their respects and honor a life that touched so many. She will be laid to rest at Vallonia Cemetery.Judy Ellen (Tabor) Coffey's legacy is one of steadfast love, generous spirit, and a joyful embrace of life. Her memory will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration to her family, friends, and all who had the blessing of her friendship.
