Judy was born in Littlefield, Texas on October 1, 1959, to Frances Mae (Jordan) Tinker & J. D. Tinker. She was the middle of three children. She had an older sister and a younger brother. She was always there for siblings, especially when they needed her most. She grew up in Slaton and later graduated from Slaton High School in the class of 1978. She went to work as a teenager for her future mother and father-in-law at the Korral Drive in Slaton. Judy worked in various restaurants in Slaton and then later became employed with Albertsons. Later in life, Judy became a caregiver for her grandchildren. She loved to swim and according to her family, you never caught her anywhere without a radio playing because she absolutely loved music. She liked to bowl, play pool, board games and dominoes. She loved to spend time with her family and her grandchildren. She was especially active in the lives of her children and grandchildren and was active in their lives and activities until her death. She loved to travel, especially to visit family in East Texas, she loved to play games on her phone and Pepsi was her absolute favorite drink.As a child, Judy met Russell Mabry and later in life they were married in Lubbock, Texas. They spent almost forty wonderful years together. Together they loved seeing movies whether it was in the theater or renting them and watching in the comfort of their home They loved to bowl together and in the early days of bowling they did at the historic Lubbock Bowl, Then after the Lubbock Bowl closed they bowled at Whitewood Lanes.Judy leaves a legacy of love and which includes, her husband, Russell. her children, son, Ehric Martin and daughter, Sarah Mabry Judy was Granny to her beloved grandchildren., Ian Martin, Ava Martin, Xzander Gonzales Zalayah Burke Her sister, Debra Green, her brother, Ronny Tinker. She is further survived by her nephews and nieces. Trey Green, Bryce Green, Tiffany B. Tinker, Alyson Tinker, and Kaylee Schroeder. She is also survived by numerous other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her nephews, Brandon Green, and Kevin Middleton and her niece Krystal Anne Tinker.The family of Judy Mabry will honor and celebrate her life in a way that would only do Judy the justice she deserves. She loved horror movies with a passion. For this reason, the life of Judy Mabry will be celebrated on Friday The 13th of March 2026 in Bartley Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Keemydrick Mackey officiating. Judy's wish was to be cremated. All arrangements for the Mabry Family are being handled by the professional staff of Bartley Funeral Home & Prairie View Crematory of Plainview, Texas.As a final request, Judy would request memorials to two of her favorite places.
