Judy Johnson ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Cole Funeral Chapel - Chelsea on Mar. 4, 2026.Judy Anne Johnson of Stockbridge, Michigan, formerly of Canton, and Jackson, age 82, passed away peacefully Monday, March 2, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born November 6, 1943, in Dexter, Michigan, the daughter of Charles A. and Florence M. (Broesamle) Briston.Judy worked as a custodian for the US Environmental Protection Agency in Ann Arbor, for over 10 years, until she retired. After retiring, she spent her time with family, playing dice and card games. She loved to read romance novels and enjoyed crocheting. Judy was the best mom, grandma, and great-grandma. She had a heart of gold and leaves a lifetime of memories.Judy married Robin Clarence Johnson on October 1, 1983, in Ypsilanti. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2016. She is survived by her son, William White of Stockbridge; daughters, Ellen Klapperich of Munith, and Tina (Daniel Chapin) White of Stockbridge; brother, John (Sharon) Briston of Dexter; sister, Janet Watts; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; firstborn son, James White; son-in-law, Keith Klapperich; and sisters, Florence, Catherine, Charlotte, and Louise.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2026, 11 a.m. at Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea, with Pastor Jeff Heim officiating. Burial will follow at Washtenong Memorial Park in Ann Arbor. The family will receive friends at Cole Funeral Chapel Monday, March 9, from 5 - 7 p.m., and Tuesday, before the service from 10 - 11 a.m.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
