Judith M. Sanders

Judith M. Sanders, 62, of Albany, passed away on March 10, 2026, after a long battle with illness. Born in Albany, New York, on August 1, 1963, to David and Myrna Sanders, she remained a lifelong resident of her hometown. A graduate of Albany High School, Judith went on to attend the University of Rhode Island, where she majored in Nutrition.

She gave generously of her time, volunteering for decades at St. Peter’s Hospital and running a community store at Thurlow Terrace Apartments. Judith also created beautiful needlepoint pieces for friends and family to mark life’s milestones, offering quiet, personal tokens of her care and creativity.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Michael Cohen, and her sister, Elisabeth N. Sanders of Cincinnati, Ohio. Her family wishes to thank the staff at NYOH, especially Dr. Wrzesinski, for his compassionate care during her illness.
