Judith Proctor ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Rivertown Funeral Chapel (Ramsay FH Group) on Mar. 17, 2026.Judith M. Proctor, affectionately known as Judy to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, at the age of 94 in Bay City, Michigan. Born on October 1, 1931, in Lansing, Michigan, Judy lived a full and vibrant life characterized by her loving nature, faith-filled spirit, and her wonderful sense of humor.Judy's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love and dedication to her family. Married for an impressive 75 years, she and her husband, Colon Proctor Jr., built a life together that was the envy of many and a source of inspiration to all who knew them. Their partnership was blessed with five wonderful children, Andrew (Margaret) Proctor, Steven (Barbara) Proctor, Cathleen (Richard) Droes, Christine (Lin) McDonald, and Pamela (Steven) Bonds. Judy's legacy further flourished through her twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish memories of their matriarch's warmth and guidance.Though her family was her pride and joy, Judy's life was marked by the sad passing of an infant daughter, Mary, whom she always held close in her heart. She was also preceded in death by her beloved brother, John Fournier, and her sisters, Jane Weiler and Nancy Sullivan. The strength and grace with which she navigated these losses were a testament to her resilient and compassionate character.Judy's commitment to her community was evident through her active involvement in her local parish, St. Catherine of Siena, and as a member of the ladies' group at St. Maria Goretti. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and interactions with everyone she met.An avid shopper, Judy had an eye for detail and took great pleasure in decorating her home, creating a warm and inviting space for all who entered. Her zest for life shone brightly as she traveled with her family and friends, embracing new experiences and creating lasting memories.Funeral mass will be on Friday March 20, 2026 at 11 am at St. Catherine of Siena with Fr. James Bessert presiding with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 10am till time of mass at church. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
