Judith L. (Schindler) Harrington

Judith L. (Schindler) Harrington, 67, of Windsor Locks, formerly of Ellington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2026, with her husband Michael at her side after an extended illness. Born on April 21, 1958, in Manchester, Judy was one of two loving and cherished daughters of Alfred E. and Shirley S. Schindler of Ellington. Raised in Ellington, she graduated from Ellington High School with the Class of 1977.

Throughout her working life, Judy was employed by several companies, but she found particular joy in her more than ten years as a secretary at Standard Register. In the years before her illness, she worked as a caregiver with Companions & Homemakers, where she met Michael J. Harrington. The two fell in love and married in 2009, sharing more than sixteen happy years together as best friends and devoted partners.

Judy cherished time with her family. She loved to cook and enjoyed visiting local wineries across Connecticut and Western New York. She and Michael especially treasured their travels together in the Finger Lakes region of New York State.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Harrington, her parents, Alfred and Shirley Schindler of Ellington, and many dear friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by her sister, Deborah (Schindler) Patterson, and brother-in-law, Richard Patterson.
