Judith K. Taubler

Passed March 15, 2026

Greensburg, PA

Judith Kathleen Taubler, 87, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 15, 2026. A woman of profound and passionate faith and a devoted Catholic, Judy's life was one of love and service to others. She cherished her ministry of bringing Holy Communion and spiritual nourishment to the homebound and, in earlier years, showed her devotion by making and donating thousands of rosary beads, sharing her love of the Blessed Mother with everyone she met. Rooted in her faith but brightened by her love for people, Judy was at her happiest when the table was full. A treasured regular at card tables and game nights, the real prize for her was the laughter and relationships nurtured in togetherness. She and Jim shared a life of adventure, finding fun and making friends wherever their travels took them. Of all her accomplishments, Judy was most proud of her family. An adoring mother and grandmother, she never missed an opportunity to share a story, ask a question, or offer encouragement. She believed in us wholeheartedly and spoke our best selves into being. Her legacy of kindness, curiosity, and strength will live on in us. She is survived by her children, Jay Taubler (Tammy Grass), Mary Nalevanko (Greg), and Christi Miller (Ross Kronenbitter); her grandchildren, John, Luke, Matt, Shelly, Evan, James, and Andrew; She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Taubler; her parents, Virginia Yavor and Robert Griff; her sister, Joanne Wolverton; and her grandson, Henry Kronenbitter. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2026, in MCCABE FUNERAL HOME, Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 21, 2026, in St. Martin's Church, New Derry. Interment to follow in St. Martin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to Orlando Union Rescue Mission, an organization she served and supported. Special thanks to the staff of St. Anne's Home and Bristol Hospice for their excellent care. online condolences may be made at mccabefuneralhomespa.com.
