Judith “Judy” E. Martin

Judith “Judy” E. Martin, age 73, of Pickerington, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, at Our Home New Albany. Born in North Carolina on October 26, 1952, to Oliver N. and Jeanne E. (Vance) Thompson, Judy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and strength touched everyone who knew her. A graduate of Groveport Madison High School and Franklin University, where she majored in Human Resources, she built a career at Nationwide, Lowe’s, United Producers, and later served as a substitute teacher in retirement.

Judy spent her life caring deeply for her family and community. She was known for her warm heart, steady wisdom, beautiful smile, and the genuine way she made others feel welcome and supported. Whether sharing a meal, offering advice, or simply listening, she brought comfort and joy to those around her. She found great pleasure in tending her garden, sharing her knowledge, baking countless desserts, and savoring time with loved ones.

She discovered happiness in life’s simple moments—conversations with friends, creating a home filled with love, and being present for her family. Her laughter, compassion, and unwavering support will be deeply missed yet forever remembered by all who were fortunate to know her.

Judy is survived by her children, Melanie (Mike) Pacifico of Pickerington, Ohio, and Marc (Tosha) Patterson of West Carrollton, Ohio; her grandchildren, Nicole and Clay Patterson, and Sophia, Sam, and Anthony Pacifico; her loving sister and best friend, Chris Hilbert of Newburgh, Indiana; and her brother, Jeff (Cindy) Thompson of McGregor, Texas, along with extended relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.
