It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judith Gibbons in Gladewater, Texas, who passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn Vaughn and Nina Vaughn (Pope); her husband Merritt Gibbons; her son-in-law Robert "Beaugh" Weltz; and her siblings, Richard Vaughn, Sandy Vaughn Marek and Brenda Vaughn Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Weltz (Gibbons) and Jeff Gibbons (Tammy); her grandchildren, Justin Gibbons (Christina), Jordan Gibbons (Sarah), Lori Weltz and Joey Gibbons (Abagail); her great grandchildren, Tyler, Jackson, Riley, Cooper, Camryn, Severin, Sahara, Veda and Valen; and her brother Mike Vaughn.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Gladewater Memorial Park Cemetery.
