Judith Bolen Inabinet

1946 — 2026

Williston, SC

Judith Bolen Inabinet, age 79, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, surrounded by her family. Judi was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, the Honorable George Lawrence Inabinet. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, she spent her childhood moving to various locations as an Army brat with her late parents, Leon and Peggy Bolen. She and Larry made their home in Williston in the early 1970s.

Judi graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a degree in Nursing. She taught Maternal and Child Health and Fundamentals at the University of South Carolina while working at Baptist Hospital, later earning a Master’s in Nursing from the University of South Carolina. She devoted 28 years to public health, first as a Program Nurse Specialist for Maternal Child Health Services and then, from 1983 to 1999, as District Nursing Director of the Lower Savannah Health District for DHEC. After retiring, she continued her passion for nursing education as an Adjunct Professor at USC-Aiken until 2014.

She cherished quiet hours on her porch at Edisto, where she read books, worked crossword puzzles, and traced her family’s history through genealogy. An avid gardener, Judi was affectionately known as a taskmaster to her husband, children, and many others. Most importantly, she was “Tig,” short for “Tigger,” to her beloved grandchildren Parker, Fate, and Taylor, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride.

Judi is survived by her son, George “Beau” L. Inabinet, Jr. (Amy) of Charleston, her daughter, Rachel Wall (Jeremy) of Williston, her grandsons Parker Wall (fiancée Marley Gunter) and Fate Wall of Williston, Taylor Inabinet of Charleston, and her siblings, James Bolen, John (Lynne) Bolen, and Joanne Hart.
