Judith Ann Waldau

Judith Ann Waldau

December 2, 1954 March 9, 2026

Constantia, NY

Judith Ann Waldau passed away on March 9, 2026, with her daughter Carrie by her side after a long illness. She fought courageously through lung cancer that had spread to her bones and spent her final two months on hospice care. She died peacefully at the age of 71.

Born on December 2, 1954, to Richard and Thola Waldau Sr., Judy was a lifelong resident of Constantia, New York. She graduated from P.V. Moore High School in 1973 and worked at many of the local establishments throughout her life. A life member of the Constantia VFW, she also became a Knight of the Bald Table after raising funds for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation at the Altmar Hotel.

Judy was a talented crocheter who lovingly handmade blankets and hats for those in need. She found joy in planting flowers each spring and watching the birds. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends, especially keeping up with her two grandsons and creating lasting memories together.

She was predeceased by her father, Richard Waldau Sr., and her nephew, Michael D. Waldau. Judith is survived by her mother, Thola Waldau; her daughter, Carrie (Shaw) Lashomb, and son-in-law, Eric J. Lashomb; her grandsons, Nathaniel and Elijah Lashomb; her siblings, Richard (Marianne “Dolly”) Waldau Jr., Donald (Phyllis) Waldau, Katherine (George) Files, Robert Waldau, John (Debbie) Waldau, and Frederick (Michelle) Waldau; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her beloved cat, Jingle Bell.
