She was predeceased by: her parents, James H. Simpson and Dorothy Emma Simpson (Shank); and her sister Cindy. She is survived by: her husband Paul M. Kovell, Jr.; her son Paul M. Kovell, III (Tracey); her grandsons, Gunnar of Upper St and Wyatt Kovell of Upper St; and her sister Janet Johns (Roy).

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home (898 Old Rte 119 Hwy N, Indiana, PA 15701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 20th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
