Judith Crosser ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Port Clint on Mar. 9, 2026.Judith Ann Crosser, 84, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026 with family by her side.She was born December 13, 1941, in Port Clinton, Ohio, to the late Willis and Evelyn (Arno) Misch. Judy graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1959. Upon graduating high school Judy was married to Daniel E. Stuckey of Port Clinton, OH until his untimely death in May 1967.Judy happily married John R. Crosser on June 1, 1968. They were lifelong residents of Port Clinton and active members of the community. John preceded Judy in death on February 9, 2024, after they celebrated more than 55 years of marriage.Judy retired from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department, where she served as a Deputy during Sheriff John R. Crosser's administration. She was known as one of the last "Matrons" of the county jail. As "Deputy Judy," she was actively involved in the community, leading programs focused on the prevention of child abuse in local schools and appearing on television to promote awareness and education.Judy and John enjoyed traveling together and experiencing new places, cultures, food, and warm weather. Judy was always happy in the kitchen and loved sharing her recipes with her granddaughters. She contributed to and authored several cookbooks, leaving a wonderful culinary legacy. Judy also enjoyed sewing, creating fairy gardens, and bird watching.Above all, Judy cherished time spent with her family and especially enjoyed the excitement her many great-grandchildren brought her in later years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Port Clinton and the Port Clinton Yacht Club.She is survived by her sons, Michael (Donna) Crosser of Port Clinton, Ohio, and Robert (Brenna) Crosser of Wake Forest, North Carolina; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, James (Sharon) Misch of Jenks, Oklahoma; and her beloved cousin, Sue Wells of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. In addition to her parents and her husband, John, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Misch.Visitation will be Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 5-8pm at the Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home, Port Clinton Chapel, 1124 Fulton St., Port Clinton, OH 43452. Funeral Services will begin at 11am on Friday, March 27, 2026 at St. John Lutheran Church, 207 Adams Street, Port Clinton, OH 43452. Immediately following the Service the family will attend the interment. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Port Clinton Yacht Club, 127 Brooklyn St., Port Clinton, OH 43452 from 1-3pm. Memorial Contributions may be given to St. John Lutheran Church.
