Judith A. Voelker

Judith A. Voelker, 76, of Altamont, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.

Born on September 16, 1949, in Effingham, Illinois, to Richard Paul and Elaine Lucille (Richter) Hankins, Judith married Charles E. Voelker on June 21, 1970, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Shumway. Their marriage lasted more than 45 years until Charles’s death on January 8, 2016. A longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she worked as an office administrator for Direct Lines before retiring. Judith found great joy in community theater, traveling, and sewing.

She is survived by her sons, Todd (Denise) Voelker of Shumway, Troy (Lisa) Voelker of St. Elmo, and Trevor (Tiffany) Voelker of St. Elmo; her daughter, Timmerle (Kyle) Scholes of Altamont; her brother, Rick (Dorothy) Hankins of Shumway; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
