Judith A. Carter

Judith A. Carter, 86, of Greenfield, Massachusetts, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Regal Care in Greenfield. Born in Greenfield, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth W. Sevene and Ruth L. (Rennie) Sevene. A graduate of Greenfield High School, Judy trained at a hairdressing school in Springfield and enjoyed a successful career that lasted more than six decades.

She cherished summers at her mobile home in Potters Campground in Lebanon, Maine, and took great pleasure in traveling, especially on numerous cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Carter, who passed away on December 10, 2005. She is survived by her life partner, Edward N. Tombs, her brother, Kenneth Sevene of Swanzey, New Hampshire, and several nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service was held, with interment in South Cemetery, Leyden, Massachusetts. Her family remains deeply grateful for the compassionate care provided by the nurses and staff at Regal Care during her final weeks.
