Juanita Woodard Boone

Juanita Woodard Boone, 75, of Bogalusa, Louisiana, passed away on March 11, 2026, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 3, 1950, she was the eleventh child of Fred and Minnie Woodard.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years, James Boone, and her youngest son, Joey Boone, Juanita was known to her family as “Nana.” She is survived by her son, Jeff Boone; her daughter, Hannah Davis, and Hannah’s husband, David Davis; four grandchildren, Damianna Sharp and her husband Karson Sharp, Kaleigh Boone, Nathan Davis, and Kinslee Boone; one great-grandson, Maverick Phelps; and one great-granddaughter, Grace Sharp.

For many years Juanita worked as a personal caregiver, treating those she served as dear friends and extended family. She loved to travel and took numerous bus tours with friends, creating lasting memories especially during her trips exploring the West Coast with her best friend of 60 years, Jo Ellen Clark. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and watching her children and grandchildren grow.

A private service will be held by her family.
